Feeling a bit anxious?

It is not unusual for you to be worried about leaving your pet when you go away. After all, they are a member of the family. For the cattery we provide a facebook or twitter service where you can access pictures of your cat whilst in a different part of the world for that peace of mind. (please state if you would like this service when booking your cat in.) Unfortunately we are unable to provide this service for the kennels so if you are feeling a little worried, feel free to give us a call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I need to bring my dog or cats own bedding or bowls?

A. We provide bedding but we always tell customers that it is always a good idea to bring something that smells of home, just to help them settle down, especially if it is there first time staying in the kennels or cattery. We also provide bowls of different sizes.

Q. Do I need to bring my own food?

A. No you don’t. We have a wide variety of foods but if your pet is on a special diet or on medication you might need to bring that with you. You are more than welcome to bring your own food but it doesn’t knock
anything of the price. We haven’t had any problems with peoples pets with the food we provide.

Q. Does my pet need to be vaccinated?

A. Yes, we request that all dogs have their full annual booster at least 3 weeks before coming into the kennels. Cats also need to be fully vaccinated for FCV plus their annual booster which will protect them against things such as cat flu. Please check with your vet if you are unsure if your cat is protected against these.

Q. Does my dog need a kennel cough vaccination?

A. No, the kennel cough is just like the common cold that we get. There are many different strains of it, that your dog may be protected against one form and not another. We have never had the kennel cough in our kennels and our on-site vet informs us of any strain that may be going around.

Q. Does my pet need to be treated for fleas and worms?

A. We kindly ask that you do regularly treat your pet with advocate which will protect them against fleas and worms, we have only had one instance where a dog has come in with fleas. We do say it is the owners responsibility to treat them against fleas and worms. If you would like us to treat them whilst boarding please let us know when you book them in.

Q. Do I need to pay a deposit?

A. We ask that you pay a small deposit just to secure your booking and because we have had many instances where customers have cancelled last minute and we have been unable to fill the kennels because of it. You can send us a cheque or a direct transfer.

Please contact us today on 01977 661281 or email to discuss all your requirements.
